I’m taking the most wonderful online art class through Carla Sonheim. It’s called Fairy Tale Summer and for the next 8 weeks we will learn all about the art of illustration.
This week’s lesson is watercolor painting on Yupo paper. I’ve never used this type of paper before and the effects you get are surprising and beautiful.
Here are two of my ostrich studies for an old French fairy tale called Blondine, Bonne-Biche and Bon-Minon. I love how different, yet similar, they look.

Wow, I love how you have made/let the blue color make patterns. The top one almost looks like an oyster.
